Remember to use the proper type of label material depending on your application. Flexible Nylon is just that; flexible. Its flexibility makes it perfect for labeling cables and other rounded surfaces. Permanent Polyester, on the other hand, sticks to flat, smooth surfaces such as patch panels, equipment, and warehouse shelving.
Use colored labels to differentiate cable functions and make your job a whole lot easier! For instance, label data cables with green Vinyl labels, voice cables with red Vinyl labels, video cables with orange, audio with yellow (or any other color designations you choose). Later, when moves, adds or changes (MACs) are necessary, identifying the cables will be a snap and you?ll save time and effort.
